Survey plans

The Solna City Planning Administration has approved the City Plan for the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital. The new university hospital will have a large role also to provide the focus of the surroundings.

Given that the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital is located right on the border between Solna City and Stockholm City, both cities have been involved in the project. The ambition is to create a new part of greater Stockholm, joining the cities of Solna and Stockholm in a dynamic space for modern science, as well as a very attractive place to live.

A range of concurrent development plans are being implemented to create an integrated city environment with housing, office space, as well as development of the Karolinska Institutet campus, Sweden’s largest medical university.
